How to Know if it's a Good Book

If you think about the story at the most random times (for instance: during school, while you're eating, in the middle of a conversation) and wish you were reading it instead.
~
If you feel more alive with the characters in the book than with actual people (certain ones, anyways).
~
If the dialogue makes you feel like you're in the conversation.
~
If you stalk the author on their social media (provided they're still alive and actually on social media).
~
If you read a sentence in the book more than once because you want to fully soak in the beauty and meaning of it.
~
If when a friend asks you "So what are you reading right now?" and you immediately go into a detailed explanation of why the book is amazing.
 ~
If you begin to daydream about writing fanfic for the book before you've even finished it.
 ~
If you start a storyboard for it on Pinterest (perhaps even before you've finished it).
 ~
If you read the last chapter really... slowly... because.... you don't... want... it.... to end.
 ~
If you begin an online review of the book for your blog (or for Goodreads) before you're finished with it because you know you're going to continue loving it to the end.
~
If the book is in buried in your bed covers somewhere in the morning when you wake up....

...
It's probably a good book.

  1. Oh beautiful, a book post!! :) I love it, Amaris! This is how you can tell a true bookworm; not by their ability to talk about plots and theories in detail, but by their ability to see the beauty in books.

(Which book were you first thinking of when you wrote this? The first book to pop in my head was the False Prince.)

    1. Thank you, dear!
I actually wasn't thinking about any book specifically. I was just kinda remembering all the good books that I've read as a whole, and what it's like to read them when they're that good. :)
      THANK YOU FOR ZE COMMENT.

  5. Oh my goodness, yes! There is nothing like getting immersed in an awesome book. The worst thing is when you fall in love with a book that is a stand-alone novel, not a series. And then you have to read it over and over again because there is no sequel! GAH <3

    1. I totally agree! It's so sad to me when a book ends, and I have to say goodbye to the characters forever, because there are no more books! Oh well. Series are sure fun. :)
